OmaPosti users will receive their notice of arrival from the OmaPosti application
Posti is making changes to OmaPosti users’ notices of arrival during June. Recipients will now get their notice of arrival from the OmaPosti application if they use the application and have given it permission to send notifications. In this case, the notice of arrival will no longer be sent via text message.
Posti is removing duplicate notifications from OmaPosti users to make receiving simpler. The notice of arrival is sent when an item is ready for pickup in a Posti service point or parcel locker. Up until now, OmaPosti users have received the notice from multiple channels at the same time.
This is how the notice of arrival will be delivered in the future:
The notice of arrival will be delivered by the OmaPosti application if the recipient uses the application and has given it permission to send notifications. The notice will no longer be sent via text message.
The notice of arrival will continue to be delivered via text message if the recipient does not use the OmaPosti application or has not given it permission to send notifications.
The notice of arrival will also be sent via email. In addition, the recipient will receive a reminder if they have not picked up the item within three days.
The reason for the change is customer feedback. Posti will continue to decrease the amount of text messages it sends in the future.
OmaPosti users can check and change their notification permissions from their phone’s settings.
