Sending letters abroad as a contract customer

Economy Letter

Invoicing with mailing list

Items indicated on a mailing list must include a Port Payé payment indication (PP) for Economy Letters according to Posti’s instructions. Report the information of the shipment lot, such as the payer, product number, quantity, zone and unit or total weight in an electronic mailing list. Pack international Priority and Economy letters in their own boxes with the address information facing the same direction. If there are only a few, you can place them in the same box with domestic letters, itemized by mailing type. Use rubber bands to bundle the shipments. Attach a control label or a covering letter of an electronic mailing list to each shipment lot. The items can be dropped off at a Posti outlet, a postal center or a terminal, or the pick-up transport (subject to a charge) can be used. The items must not be dropped off in a mailbox. When sending letters containing goods to the EU Member States, no separate customs declaration is needed. When sending letters to other countries, please see the instructions.

Posti Pre-Paid Envelope

Posti Pre-Paid Envelopes can be dropped off in a mailbox. When sending letters containing goods to the EU Member States, no separate customs declaration is needed. When sending letters to other countries, please see the instructions.

Ordinary letter items can be dropped off in a mailbox. If you drop items off in a mailbox after its latest emptying time, stamp them with the following day’s postmark or an additional zero-euro postmark. International items must always be furnished with the Priority or Economy marking, indicating the delivery speed. International letter items without Economy marking are handled as Priority items. When sending letters containing goods to the EU Member States, no separate customs declaration is needed. When sending letters to other countries, please see the instructions.

Pricing Service

Separate the domestic letters, international letters and express letters intended for the pricing service in their own transportation boxes. Place a signed and dated work order form (control label) on top of the letters in each box. When mailing international letter items, clearly indicate in additional information whether the item is an international Economy or Priority letter. See instructions for filling out the form and more detailed mailing instructions here.
