Packing materials and delivery
Based on your order, we will deliver durable cardboard moving boxes, bubble wrap and stretch wrap.
It can be difficult to estimate in advance how many boxes you will need. If any boxes are left unused after packing, you will not be charged for them; they should be given to the driver when your belongings are picked up.
You may only use the boxes provided with the service, except when an item is packed in its original packaging.
Items we cannot transport or store
car tires, large batteries or battery packs
dangerous, flammable, toxic, illegal or restricted substances and items, such as fuels, chemicals, explosives, weapons and ammunition
food, perishable products, plants, animals or other biological material, as well as items containing mold, pests or other harmful substances
cash, gemstones, precious metals, or particularly valuable or irreplaceable documents and collections
The full list of prohibited items is available in the service’s terms and conditions.
Packing and labelling boxes
The maximum weight of one moving box is 25 kg. Boxes that are too heavy or have lost their shape cannot be collected.
Pack the boxes so that the contents can not move around inside them.
Write a clear description on the side of each box. You will be able to see this description later. For example: “Kitchen – dishes” or “Bedroom – books”.
Original packaging and particularly delicate items
Large or fragile items (such as a television or chandelier) may be packed in their original packaging.
If the original box is not available, protect the item with bubble wrap and/or corrugated cardboard. Pay particular attention to corners and screens.
Furniture
Wrap furniture in 1–2 layers of stretch wrap so that the item remains visible through the plastic. Add padding to the corners if necessary.
Important: Allow all items, such as mattresses, to dry completely before wrapping them in stretch wrap.
Remove parts such as dining table legs if possible. This reduces the space the furniture takes up and can lower your storage costs. Secure the removed parts to the furniture frame with stretch wrap or tape, or pack them in a box.
Roll up rugs and secure each roll with tape or stretch wrap. The driver will place the rugs in protective rug sleeves during pickup.
For lamps, protect the base and pack glass components and lampshades separately in a box
Home appliances and electronics
Televisions and monitors: use the original packaging whenever possible. If the original packaging is not available, protect a small television carefully with corrugated cardboard, bubble wrap and corner protectors. Always keep the television upright.
Washing machine: fit the transit bolts (if available) and drain all water before pickup.
Checklist before pickup
