Posti will issue seven new stamp publications with a total of 24 different designs in the first half of 2026. The stamps will be issued in three batches on January 14, April 7 and May 6.
The January themes: Valentine’s Day, floral greetings and the 100th anniversary of Yle
Next year, the Valentine’s Day stamps will feature colorful poster-like illustrations of friendship and spending time together in different situations, designed by Pietari Posti. Friendship is a 10-stamp sheet containing five different domestic no-value indicator stamps.
Oona Himanen has designed floral stamps that are suitable for various congratulations and greetings. The stamps feature a glowing red rose with a pink perennial mallow flower. Floral Greetings is a 10-stamp sheet with two different domestic no-value indicator stamp designs.
Yle will celebrate its 100th anniversary next year. Posti will celebrate the event with stamps that showcase different aspects of Yle’s operations, such as the TV studio's control room, children’s programmes, culture and drama. The Yle 100 Years stamp sheet, designed by Anna-Mari Tenhunen, contains 10 stamps and five different domestic no-value indicator stamp designs.
Erik Bruun’s birthday will be celebrated in April
Erik Bruun, a master of graphic design, was born on April 7, 1926, in Säiniö, Vyborg. To celebrate his birthday, Posti will issue stamps designed by Ilkka Kärkkäinen on April 7, 2026. The stamps will feature five works from Erik Bruun’s long career, including the famous Saimaa Ringed Seal and Hartwall posters. Erik Bruun 100 Years is a 10-stamp sheet containing five different domestic no-value indicator stamps.
The May themes: the Europe-wide stamp, happy flowers and Pride
In May, Posti will issue a stamp designed by Klaus Welp that won the EUROPA stamp design competition. The winning stamp will be issued next year with its own country codes in the areas of all European postal organizations. The Europa United in... stamp will be issued as a 10-stamp sheet.
The graphic, pattern-like floral stamps illustrated by Anna Emilia Laitinen with bird shapes in their arrangements are suitable for congratulations in the spring. Happy Flowers is a 10-stamp sheet containing five different domestic no-value indicator stamps.
Posti has been an official partner of the Helsinki Pride community since 2018. The aim of cooperation is to promote equality, equity and human rights. To celebrate Pride, Posti will issue a stamp designed by Eero Lampinen, featuring a colorful group marching in the colors of the rainbow flag. The Pride stamp will be issued as a 10-stamp sheet.
