How to start sending parcels

  1. Sign a contract to become a Posti customer – you'll get access to contract prices.

  2. Send parcels easily with OmaPosti Pro, SmartShip or directly from your online store.

  3. You can order regular pickup or a one-time pickup for your parcels or take the parcels to your nearest service point.

  4. We will deliver your parcels efficiently and also take care of returns.

Set up your contract

Postal Parcel is a fast and reliable delivery method. The parcel will be delivered to the nearest Parcel Locker or service point for the recipient.

  • Fast delivery – often delivered on the following business day.

  • The most extensive pickup point network in Finland: 85% of Finns live less than a kilometer from a pickup point.

  • Deliveries even on Saturdays in the busiest areas.

  • Minimum size: 1 × 15 × 15 cm, minimum weight 100 g

  • Maximum size: 60 × 60 × 100 cm, longest side + circumference max. 300 cm, max. weight 25 kg

  • Parcels up to a maximum size of 40 x 60 x 60 cm can fit in the parcel locker.

  • Maximum size with the Oversized additional service: longest side 200 cm, longest side + circumference max. 300 cm, max. weight 25 kg

The Small Parcel To Door service is an easy and inexpensive way to send small items directly to the customer's mailbox, mail slot or doorstep. The parcel will be delivered alongside other mail, and the service is ideal for online stores that want to offer smooth home delivery for small items.

  • Delivered directly to the doorstep – the recipient does not need to be at home.

  • Very high customer satisfaction: average 4.52/5.

  • Affordable: arrives in 2–5 business days.

  • Available throughout Finland thanks to Posti’s extensive network.

  • Delivered according to size either in the mailbox or to the doorstep.

  • Maximum size for delivery to the doorstep: 28 × 38 × 38 cm, max. weight 4 kg

  • Maximum size for delivery in the mailbox: 35 × 25 × 3 cm, max. weight 2 kg

Good to know

  • The parcel's bar code must be machine-readable. The address label may not be folded over the edge of the package or cover the place where the packaging closes.

  • Posti has an extensive network of parcel lockers and service points where returns can be made easily. Items can be returned by using a return address label or a Helposti code.

  • If you haven't signed a Customer Return contract with us, your customer will pay for the return themselves. You may incur costs for the return if the item is not picked up during the storage period or if the postage has not been paid.

Additional services

  • You can use the Oversized additional service to send larger parcels.

  • The Home Delivery additional service will deliver your parcel directly to the recipient's doorstep.

  • With the LQ Transport additional service, you can send limited quantities of products classified as dangerous goods (Limited Quantity).

  • Items with the Handing over to the Receiver Personally additional service are only handed over against an identity document.

  • With the Registration additional service, an item is only handed over to the recipient or a person authorized by the recipient

  • With the Delivery to Specific Location additional service, we will deliver large items directly to the agreed location on the recipient’s premises.

  • With the Fossil-Free Transport additional service, your shipment is allocated a share of Posti’s transports that have been carried out using fossilfree energy (electricity, biogas, or renewable diesel).
