If the item has an incorrect/incomplete address, or the recipient refuses to accept the item, it will be returned to the sender as a Post Office Return 16 service item. The original sender must then pay the delivery fee for the returned item as well as any possible additional service fees.
If the addressee requests redelivery, the item will be delivered to the addressee's nearest postal outlet as a Postal Parcel, and the recipient will pay all delivery fees. Redelivery upon the addressee's request is possible only once for each item.
If an item cannot be redelivered to the recipient or returned to sender, it will be taken to the Finnish Communications Regulatory Authority for processing.
