Posti and WWF continue cooperation to protect biodiversity and curb overconsumption

25.11.2025

Posti Group Suomi Oy and WWF Finland have signed a new three-year partnership agreement for 2026–2028. The aim of the partnership is to continue Posti’s and WWF’s previous work to preserve biodiversity and curb overconsumption.

Companies play a significant role in halting biodiversity loss, as biodiversity is the foundation of societies, human well-being, and all business and economic activity.

The goal of the Posti-WWF partnership is to raise awareness of practical ways companies can combat biodiversity loss, support WWF’s work for biodiversity, and strengthen Posti’s own efforts against nature loss.

“We are delighted to continue our long-term cooperation with WWF. Together, we promote sustainable consumption and the circular economy and highlight the importance of biodiversity to our employees and customers. At the same time, we share our experiences and learnings with other companies and learn more ourselves, so that we can all help reduce biodiversity loss as effectively as possible,” says Anna Storm, Posti’s VP, Sustainability & Stakeholder Relations.

The planned actions will purposefully and consistently build on the cooperation between WWF and Posti that began in 2023. The aim is to deepen the previous biodiversity-focused collaboration through the following themes: sustainable consumption and circular economy, protection of the Baltic Sea, and supporting Posti’s sustainability work.

“Preserving biodiversity is one of the priorities of our sustainability programme. Working with WWF enables us to take concrete actions and benefit from expert knowledge, so we can make our operations more sustainable and have a broader impact on society,” says Anna Heino, Posti’s Head of Climate and Nature.

“Corporate partnerships are an important part of WWF’s work for biodiversity. Posti’s commitment to responsibility and willingness to develop its operations support our goals to stop nature loss and build a future where people and nature live in balance,” says Annemi Usva-Vänttinen, WWF’s Head of Corporate Partnerships.
