In brief
Logging in to the OmaPosti app with a username and password will be phased out starting in September 2026.
Going forward, you will log in using a PIN code, fingerprint authentication, or facial recognition.
Setting up the new login method requires a one-time strong authentication.
The change only applies to the OmaPosti mobile app.
How to set up the new login method
When the update becomes available to you, complete a one-time strong authentication using online banking credentials, a mobile certificate, or another supported identification method.
After that, choose your preferred login method:
a PIN code you create yourself
fingerprint authentication
facial recognition
After setup, you can log in to OmaPosti quickly using your chosen method.
The change only applies to the mobile app
This change does not affect the web version of OmaPosti.
The OmaPosti web service already uses strong authentication, such as online banking credentials or a mobile certificate. The login process for the web version was updated in spring 2026 and will remain unchanged.
The autumn update brings the mobile app login experience closer to the current web version.
If you want to check shipment tracking information without logging in, you can still do so on our website using your shipment ID.
