We launched the Plus Sticker that could be added next to the traditional stamp on letters in 2019. As the number of letters decreases, so does the demand for supplementary service stickers, and therefore the sale of the Plus Sticker will end on 1 April 2023.
“Digital channels are being used more and more whenever there is need for quick communications. For most of our customers who send letters or cards, Posti's basic speed is sufficient,” says Sami Määttä from Posti's consumer services.
The Plus Sticker supplementary service has been used to speed up the delivery of items. It has also allowed the sender to track when the letter or card has been delivered. These additional services will continue until the beginning of next year, meaning that customers can still send mail using the Plus Sticker additional service until 31 March 2023.
“If our customers want to send small items quickly in the future, they can send them as an XXS-parcel that will be delivered to the recipient’s mail slot or mail box, or as an express letter. These services also include Item Tracking,” says Määttä.
In order not to leave any Plus Stickers unused, they can be used as a stamp of equal value to the value of the Plus Sticker from the beginning of April 2023 until the end of 2024. For example, if you want to use a Plus Sticker (€1.50) to send a domestic card or letter weighing no more than 50 g (€2.10), you will need to add €0.60 worth of stamps to your letter.
