Changes to the prices of additional services for freight
There will be no charge for the Consumer Delivery additional service if the recipient is a farm, a private trader or a housing company.
In the future, the Long Shipment additional service will apply to all freight shipments that are over 2.4 meters long. In the past, the fee for the additional service was not charged if loading meters were used as the basis for the shipment's chargeable weight.
The Crane Delivery service will be split into two different additional services: Pickup by Crane and Delivery by Crane.
The Handing Over Without Signature additional service will become free of charge.
The weight limit for the Terminal Storage Fee service will be removed. In the future, a service fee will also be charged for shipments weighing over 2,500 kg.
The prices for the Long Shipment, Scheduled Delivery and Consumer Delivery services will be changed as EUR per item. The prices of the services used to be calculated as percentages of the freight shipment's price. The prices of other additional services and service fees will also change.
The fuel surcharge for freight will also be introduced for Express Freight
Starting from October 1, 2020, the fuel surcharge for freight will also be introduced for Express Freight. Before this, the fuel surcharge for parcel services was used for Express Freight. Changing the fuel surcharge will not have an effect on the total prices paid by customers. Instead, the increase of the fuel surcharge will be compensated for by lowering the transport prices of Express Freight by the same amount.
Starting from September 1, 2020, the fuel surcharge for Express Freight is 7.21%.
Starting from September 1, 2020, the fuel surcharge for Posti Freight is 19.92%.
The amount of the fuel surcharge is reviewed monthly.
The fuel surcharge for parcel services will be updated The fuel surcharge for parcel services will also be updated on October 1, 2020. The fuel consumer price monitoring process, which affects the calculation of the fuel surcharge, will become harmonized, more transparent and more up-to-date. The source of the information will change. In the future, the source will be the European Commission's Weekly Oil Bulletin. At the same time, the fuel surcharge for parcel services will be added to the prices of Posti's pickup and delivery services. The amount of the fuel surcharge will continue to be reviewed monthly.
