A secure place for your important messages
OmaPosti’s Digital post brings your invoices and letters together in one service, whether you use it in the app or in the web version. The first time you start using the app, you sign in with strong authentication, for example with online banking credentials or a mobile certificate. This ensures that your messages are visible only to you.
You can add an extra layer of protection to OmaPosti by enabling multi‑factor authentication. You can also use facial or fingerprint recognition alongside your PIN code, which makes signing in both quick and secure.
In addition, the OmaPosti app can be protected with your device’s own screen lock. When the screen lock is on, the app opens only with the device’s passcode, fingerprint or facial recognition. A new login method for the OmaPosti web version in February 2026
This change applies only to the web version. Logging in to the mobile app remains the same.
In February, we will move the web version of OmaPosti to electronic identification. The username and password will no longer be used.
In the future, you can log in with:
online banking credentials
a mobile certificate
a chip-based ID card
Hightrust.id identification
If you want to track a parcel without logging in, you can still do so on our website using the item ID.
How we communicate with you safely
We send email notifications about new messages and parcels, as well as other important updates. These messages may include a link to OmaPosti or to the posti.fi website.
We never:
ask for strong authentication in an email
send invoices by email
ask you to download the app outside official app stores
request your bank or personal information based on an email
If a message appears suspicious, delete it and check its status in OmaPosti or on our website via parcel tracking.
What phishing messages look like and how to protect yourself
Phishing messages can look genuine. They may use Posti’s colours, our logo or even a real tracking number.
Common signs of a phishing message:
the message asks for a payment, authentication or address verification
it claims a parcel is waiting for a customs fee
it directs you to log in through an unfamiliar link
If you suspect a message:
delete it without opening
do not open any links
check the situation in OmaPosti or on the posti.fi website
if you shared bank details, contact your bank immediately
