In the second half of 2025, Posti will issue six new stamp publications with a total of 14 different designs. The stamps will be issued in two batches on September 10 and November 5. This year’s Christmas stamps are illustrated by Mauri Kunnas, who is known for his popular children’s books.
Fall's themes: veterans, habits and national landscapes
This year marks the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War in Finland. At the same time, the youngest age group appointed for war service will reach the age of 100. Today, the Tammenlehvän perinneliitto federation cherishes the heritage of our war veterans, and Posti will publish two stamps designed by Klaus Welp. The photographs on the blue-toned stamps feature a soldier on ski patrol and being treated in a hospital. Veterans is a 10-stamp sheet with two different domestic no-value indicator stamp designs.
Finns have several national habits, two of which are presented in colorful stamps designed by Miika Saksi. On the first stamp, people are lined up for free buckets, which is a well known way of getting Finns moving. On the second stamp, people are waiting for a bus at a bus stop and, as is common in Finland, they keep their distance from other passengers. Finnish Habits will be a 10-stamp sheet containing two different domestic no-value indicator stamps.

The popular series of roll of stamps featuring national landscapes has progressed to its third part. This time, the stamps designed by Stiina Hovi feature landscapes from Helsinki, Hämeenkyrö, Lake Köyliönjärvi, Väisälänmäki, North Karelia, Olavinlinna and Imatrankoski. National Landscapes III will be issued as a 100-stamp roll that contains seven different domestic no-value indicator stamp designs.
Mauri Kunnas’ Christmas stamps are guaranteed high quality
This year’s Christmas stamps are illustrated by Mauri Kunnas, who is known for his popular children’s books. His daughter Jenna Kunnas is responsible for the graphic design of the stamps. The stamps feature Santa Claus and busy Christmas gingerbreads jamming on a baking tray and singing in a Christmas choir. The no-value indicator stamp for Christmas greetings will be issued as a 20-stamp sheet and the domestic non-value indicator stamp will be issued as a 10-stamp sheet.
The photo on the stamp suitable for international winter greetings was taken by Jukka Risikko. The photo shows Myllykoski located on the River Kitkajoki in Kuusamo, from which vapor rises in an impressive landscape decorated by snow and frost. The international no-value indicator stamp Winter Rapids will be issued as a 10-stamp sheet.
