When Veke’s own warehouse was no longer big enough
Veke is a furniture chain from Ranua. In the last 30 years, it has grown into one of the largest operators in the industry in Finland. At the heart of Veke is a user-friendly online store and a diverse product range that offers solutions for different homes, budgets and styles. A selection of 7,000 products includes furniture, garden furniture, rugs, lighting and interior items designed to withstand real everyday life and make daily living more functional.
In 2024 and 2025, rapid growth pushed Veke’s own storage capacity to its limits. Posti had a solution to the storage challenges. Posti had been Veke’s partner in parcel transport and freight services for a long time, so expanding the cooperation to logistics and warehousing services made Veke’s next leap in growth possible.
“Compared to its competitors, Posti’s services stood out particularly in terms of capacity, quality and the overall service offering. The price was also very competitive. By outsourcing our warehousing to Posti, we’ll have room for growth in the coming years,” says Markus Ranua, Director of Products and Purchasing at Veke.
In practice, Posti will take care of, among other things, the receiving, storage, processing, handover and delivery of Veke’s goods at the warehouse in Pennala, Orimattila. At the same time, 25 warehouse employees were transferred from Veke to Posti.
