The Turku and Kaarina Parish Union organized an event for young adults and needed a fast and easy digital channel for sending out invitations. Posti provided the parish union with a service package in which the event invitations were sent to recipients not only as a paper letter but also digitally via OmaPosti’s Digital post. The Digital post pilot was considered a success by the parish union, and the cooperation with Posti will continue.
OmaPosti’s Digital post is a secure, easy-to-use, and clearly structured digital mailbox by Posti. It provides a convenient way to receive letters, invoices, payslips, messages sent by Finnish authorities and related notifications.
Digital post increased the speed and reach of the invitation
In the joint pilot carried out in the fall 2025, the Turku and Kaarina Parish Union and Posti looked for a suitable way for the parish to deliver invitations to an event aimed at young adults. From Posti’s extensive service offering, a combination was selected in which the event invitation was sent to the invited parish members both as a paper letter to their home addresses and as a digital copy to the Digital post in OmaPosti.
Registration for the event also took place in OmaPosti. Posti provided the parish union with a branded hub with their logo and picture in the Digital post, and the registration link was added to the hub for the duration of the registration period. In addition, the invitees later received a digital reminder about event registration via OmaPosti.
OmaPosti has already 2.7 million users in Finland, which enables companies and organizations to reach their target audiences effectively. Many of the parish members invited to the Turku and Kaarina Parish Union’s event were already using OmaPosti: 89% of them received the invitation either in addition to the paper letter or exclusively through OmaPosti’s Digital post. As many as 74% heard about the event for the first time via Digital post.
A successful collaboration: Attendance increased and most invitees registered through OmaPosti
The joint pilot between the Turku and Kaarina Parish Union and Posti was highly successful, as demonstrated by the increase in attendance: 25% more participants registered for the fall 2025 event compared to the previous similar event. Registering for the event through OmaPosti was also easy—73% of those who registered used Digital post to do so.
“Our parish members include people of all ages, from infants to the elderly, and we are part of their everyday lives throughout the year. We want to continuously develop our communication channels to reach our parish members in a timely and comprehensive way. Younger generations in particular prefer digital channels. Our pilot with Posti showed that Digital post is an excellent addition to our communication channels. We plan to continue our cooperation with Posti in the future,” says Communications Manager Liisa Toivonen from the Turku and Kaarina Parish Union.
