As we announced last autumn, the renewal of our pickup point service is approaching. The current Location Service API will be discontinued in April 2026. If your online store is using this API, it is important to take action immediately to replace it.
The new Pickup Point API offers an improved way to display Posti’s pickup locations at checkout. The new API is reliable and scalable, and in the future it will also support showing accurate delivery time estimates alongside the selected pickup location.
The new Pickup Point API is designed to make life easier for our e-commerce customers. The service operates more reliably and scales according to seasonal demand. This is also the first step toward a more unified way of using Posti’s APIs in the future.

If your online store uses the Posti Shipping plugin or SmartShip, no changes are needed – everything is already in order.
