Our emission reporting service is evolving! Starting in November, the emission report for paper mail is available in the OmaPosti Pro. In spring 2025, we launched parcel and freight emission reports in OmaPosti Pro.

“We have been producing emission reports for our customers for a long time. We are one of the first companies in Finland to offer reports in accordance with the international EN ISO 14083 standard. The standard brings transparency, consistency and comparability to reporting. Our customers can now access reports easily and quickly when they are downloadable from OmaPosti Pro.”
Anna Heino, Posti’s Head of Climate and Nature.
Reports are available to users with the right permissions
OmaPosti Pro offers several tools for sending, tracking and reporting. To download customer emission reports, you need access to the Reports section and the relevant contract IDs. Your company’s main administrator can grant permission if needed. Make sure your credentials are in order before the possible annual reporting rush early next year.
Self-service reports also include recipient details. This allows you to filter and share emissions data related to your customers’ orders.
We deliver emission reports for warehouse services and 4PL transports by email.
What is customer emission reporting?
Customer emission reporting means calculating and reporting greenhouse gas emissions related to customers’ shipments.
In 2023, the international ISO 14083 standard was published, defining rules for allocating transport emissions to individual shipments and customers. This standard was confirmed as a European EN standard the same year, and conflicting standards (such as EN 16258) were repealed in EU and EFTA countries. The EU is currently preparing a regulation that will make EN ISO 14083 mandatory for emission reporting of all transports departing from or arriving in the EU.
Posti was one of the first companies to adopt the EN ISO 14083 standard. It provides common international calculation principles for all modes of transport. For your company, this means transparent, reliable and comparable reporting.
KPMG has verified Posti's customer emission reporting and Green Freight additional service in December 2025 (a third-party opinion regarding consistency and alignment of Posti’s GHG methodology and data model for the customer emission reporting with the EN ISO 14083 standard and the MBM Specification).
