Changes to the delivery methods for regional publications

Posti’s delivery methods continue to develop. We will switch to alternate-day delivery in new areas and change the delivery frequency in existing alternate-day delivery areas.

Daytime Publication Delivery – delivery method changes

The changes will be made gradually by postal code area. For a publication subscriber, the change means that the publication may be delivered on a different day of the week and at a different time of the day than before.

The delivery day depends on whether Posti’s early-morning delivery is available in the area or not:

  1. In early-morning delivery areas, publications are delivered early in the morning of the weekday following the publication date.

  2. Without early-morning delivery, publications are delivered with day mail according to the area's delivery frequency:

  • Every other week: Monday, Wednesday and Friday

  • Every other week: Tuesday and Thursday

In 2025, the delivery frequency will be adjusted in some alternate-day areas. Day mail will be delivered five times during a three-week period. Early-morning delivery complements delivery – in addition to newspapers, we deliver magazines and letters to ensure that items arrive in accordance with our service level agreements (SLA).

Important: The new weekly rhythm for day mail will not affect the current delivery days of the Daytime Publication Delivery service.

We will provide more information as the planning progresses. (updated 21/08/2025)
