The group of employees that have been exposed to COVID-19 and the number of quarantine and sick days have grown also at Posti, and it is difficult to predict how these numbers are going to change.
Posti has a contingency plan for exceptional situations, which we have followed since the beginning of the pandemic. We do our best to ensure the continuity of our operations also in exceptional circumstances, and we give priority to items that are critical and important for security of supply and the functioning of society, while also prioritizing the health and safety of our customers and personnel. Our COVID-19 measures and restrictions are based on the guidelines provided by government officials, but they may also be tighter because we want to protect our customers, employees, and their families to the best of our ability.
We share information about any changes to our services by updating this bulletin.
Impact on mail delivery
At the moment, COVID-19 does not impact the delivery of paper mail, I.e., newspapers, magazines, letters and ads, and also small parcels delivered to a customer’s mailbox.
The situation is stable, but a sudden increase in sick days may cause short delivery delays in some delivery areas.
You can follow the situation in our early-morning delivery of newspapers and day-time delivery on our website posti.fi/hairiot (in Finnish).
Impact on domestic parcel delivery
The situation is stable for the time being.
Impact on freight services
The situation is stable for the time being.

The transport and flight connections have been reopened and transportation to most of the world operates normally.
