Sending domestic letters as a contract customer

Economy Letter

Invoicing with mailing list

Items indicated on a mailing list must include a Port Payé payment indication (PP) for Economy Letters according to Posti’s instructions. Report the information of the shipment lot, such as the payer, product number, quantity, zone and unit or total weight and mailing location in an electronic mailing list.

Pack the letters in boxes with the address information facing the same direction. Large and small letter items and items that include additional services must also be packed in separate boxes. Small quantities of items can be packed in the same box by, for example, using a rubber band to make separate bundles. Attach a control label or a covering letter of an electronic mailing list to each shipment lot.

The items can be dropped off at a Posti outlet, a postal center or a terminal, or the pick-up The postal centers of Helsinki, Tampere, Kuopio and Oulu are the primary posting places, posting time by 5 p.m. at the latest. When items are posted at a terminal, one (1) working day is added to the delivery time. If you are using the Pickup and Delivery Service, please make sure that the items are delivered to the posting place by the last posting time. Batches of less than 100 pcs can be dropped off at a Posti service point or a corporate service point. You can check the locations and posting times here. The items must not be dropped off in a mailbox.

Posti Pre-Paid Envelope Posti Pre-Paid Envelopes can be dropped off in a mailbox, a Posti outlet, a postal center or the pick-up transport (subject to a charge) can be used. The postage fee is prepaid and the envelopes come with your company’s printing and logo.

Posti Kontakti When mailing individual messages or small batches in the Create and send messages service, you do not need to worry about payment indications or dropping them off at an outlet. The service prints the payment indication on the items and includes the materials, printing, mailing and postage fee for letters and cards.

Franking machine Ordinary letter items can be dropped off in a mailbox, a Posti outlet, a postal center or the pick-up transport (subject to a charge) can be used. If you drop items off in a mailbox after its latest emptying time, stamp them with the following day’s postmark or an additional zero-euro postmark.

Priority Letter

Pricing Service letter

Economy Standard Letter Pro

Items indicated on a mailing list must include a Port Payé payment indication (PP) for Economy Letters according to Posti’s instructions. Shipment lots must be mailed through the Posti Sorting Service, and the 2D code from the Sorting Service must be printed on the letters. The Sorting Service also automatically forms a regional division of mailing for the electronic mailing list. See more detailed mailing instructions.

Priority Standard Letter Pro

Posti SmartShip or another EDI interface is contract customers’ only ordering channel for Registered Letters.

Attach to the letter an address label for a Registered Letter printed out of Posti SmartShip with an identifying tracking bar code, in other words an item ID.

The item can be dropped off at a Posti outlet, a postal center or the pick-up transport (subject to a charge) can be used. The items must not be dropped off in a mailbox.

Letter with Advice of Delivery

Posti SmartShip or another EDI interface is contract customers’ only ordering channel for Letters with Advice of Delivery.

Attach to the letter an address label for a Letter with Advice of Delivery printed out of Posti SmartShip with an identifying tracking bar code, in other words an item ID.

The item can be dropped off at a Posti outlet, a postal center or the pick-up transport (subject to a charge) can be used. The items must not be dropped off in a mailbox.

Insured Item

Posti SmartShip or another EDI interface is contract customers’ only ordering channel for Insured Items. Multi-section address labels will be taken out of use at the same time.

Attach to the letter an address label for an Insured Item printed out of Posti SmartShip with an identifying tracking bar code, in other words an item ID.

The item can be dropped off at a Posti outlet, a postal center or the pick-up transport (subject to a charge) can be used. The items must not be dropped off in a mailbox.

Cash on Delivery Letter

Posti SmartShip or another EDI interface is contract customers’ only ordering channel for Cash on Delivery Letters.

The Cash on Delivery is an additional service for Economy and Priority letters. Attach to the letter an address label for Cash on Delivery printed out of Posti SmartShip with an identifying tracking bar code, in other words an item ID. The maximum sum for Cash on Delivery is EUR 2,000.

Cash on Delivery Letters can be dropped off at a Posti outlet, a postal center or a terminal, or the pick-up transport (subject to a charge) can be used. The items must not be dropped off in a mailbox.

Express Letter

Posti SmartShip ordering channel

Print out an address label with Express markings from the Posti SmartShip ordering channel and attach it to the item. If the item is sent using the Saturday Delivery additional service, check the availability of the service (check the availability of the service).

Express Letters can be dropped off at a Posti outlet, a postal center or the pick-up transport (subject to a charge) can be used. The items must not be dropped off in a mailbox.

Invoicing with mailing list

Items indicated on a mailing list must include a Port Payé payment indication (PP) for Priority Letters according to Posti’s instructions. Report the information of the shipment lot, such as the payer, product number, quantity, zone and unit or total weight in an electronic mailing list.

Attach an Exprès bar code label and an Exprès label to the item. If the item is sent using the Saturday Delivery additional service, add a Saturday Delivery label (check the availability of the service). Labels can be ordered with a material order or picked up from Posti outlets.

Express Letters can be dropped off at a Posti outlet, a postal center or the pick-up transport (subject to a charge) can be used. The items must not be dropped off in a mailbox.

Posti Pre-Paid Envelope

The selection of Posti Pre-Paid Envelopes has been supplemented with express letter envelopes sized C4/E4 and C5/E5. Express Letters can be dropped off at a Posti outlet, a postal center or the pick-up transport (subject to a charge) can be used. The items must not be dropped off in a mailbox. No Saturday Delivery additional service.

The postage fee is prepaid and the envelopes come with your company’s printing and logo.

Attach an Exprès bar code label and an Exprès label to the item. If the item is sent using the Saturday Delivery additional service, add a Saturday Delivery label (check the availability of the service). Labels can be ordered with a material order or picked up from Posti outlets. Express Letters can be dropped off at a Posti outlet, a postal center or the pick-up transport (subject to a charge) can be used. The items must not be dropped off in a mailbox.

Try the handy Express envelope that stands out. It is a prepaid cardboard envelope. Just add the recipient’s and the sender’s details, attach the Exprès bar code label and drop it off at a Posti outlet. Domestic and international Express envelopes can be ordered with a material order.

Laboratory samples and Reply Mail Items

Laboratory samples (packaging with yellow stripes) must be dropped off at a Posti outlet, a postal center or the pick-up transport (subject to a charge) can be used. Customs slips and declarations

An export declaration must be lodged also when goods are exported to regions outside the fiscal territory of the EU, for example the Canary Islands, and when goods are taken from the Åland Islands to locations other than Finland.
