Small Parcel to Door Brought More Flexibility and Cost Efficiency

When Jula wanted to offer its customers even smoother and more affordable delivery options, Posti’s Small Parcel to Door service proved to be the perfect solution. Jula has been using Posti’s services for a long time, and this new delivery method complemented the company’s logistics solutions seamlessly. 

Jula is a Swedish family-owned company founded in 1979 and one of the largest DIY (do-it-yourself) retail chains in the Nordics. Its selection includes over 15,000 products for home, garden, and leisure. In Finland, Jula serves customers through both its online store and nine physical stores across the country. 

How Did the Collaboration Begin?

Johan Kullberg, Jula’s Business Support Manager, explains that Posti had been a trusted partner long before the introduction of Small Parcel to Door. The collaboration started when Jula was looking for a delivery solution that would meet the needs of both its online store and physical stores. Posti’s strong reputation and reliability were key factors in choosing it as a partner: 

"We wanted a well-known and trusted delivery company for our customers in Finland. That was the main reason we originally chose Posti as our partner. Our goal was to provide a high-quality delivery service that works for both small and large shipments." 

From a consumer perspective, delivery speed is important, but according to Kullberg, affordability is an even more crucial factor for many customers. The Small Parcel to Door service perfectly met this need and smoothly complemented Jula’s existing range of Posti delivery options. 

Why Small Parcel to Door?

Jula had already seen the success of a similar service in Sweden and Norway. When Posti introduced Small Parcel to Door in Finland, Jula quickly decided to start using it: 

"When Posti’s sales representative contacted me about this delivery option, we decided to implement it right away. We were one of the first companies to adopt it, and our customers liked it from the very start,"  Kullberg says. 

Jula was among the early adopters of Small Parcel to Door in Finland. “So far, everything has gone smoothly, and we haven’t received any negative feedback,” Kullberg adds.

Jula has not received direct customer feedback on the service, but this can be seen as a positive sign: when everything works well, customers rarely feel the need to comment. 

Looking ahead, Jula and Posti will continue to develop their collaboration to offer Finnish customers even better and more flexible delivery options.  Small Parcel to Door has been part of this effort and has provided customers with a new, cost-effective way to receive their deliveries.
