Returning an item

Online purchases can be easily returned using a Helposti code or a return address label provided by the sender. You can return the item to a Posti's parcel locker or a Posti outlet. Thin and light items can always be returned by dropping them off in a mailbox.

How to return an online purchase

Online purchases can be returned for free if the online retailer they were bought from offers free returns for their products.

Do you have a return address label?

Attach the address label to the parcel and drop the parcel off in the parcels and returns locker of a Posti parcel locker or at a Posti service point.

No return address label?

If the online retailer offers free returns, you will receive a Helposti code. Using the code, you can drop off the parcel you want to return at a Posti parcel locker or service point of your choice. Check whether the online retailer offers free returns.

What if the online retailer does not offer free returns?

If the online store does not offer free returns, you can buy transport for the parcel at or through the OmaPosti application.

How to return a letter item

If you do not need a receipt of the return and the item you are returning is smaller than the maximum size for a letter (3 x 25 x 35.3 cm, 2 kg), you can drop the item off in a mailbox. Write the customer return ID of the receiving company, the return address and the text ”ASIAKASPALAUTUS” (= “customer return”) on the item.

Return IDs can usually be found in the list of shipment information that came with the parcel or on the website of the online store. If not, you can ask the online retailer for the return ID.

How to return a freight shipment

Contact the customer service of the company that sent you the shipment when returning a freight shipment.
