Cash, securities, precious metals, gemstones, and other valuables delivered by mail must always be sent as Insured Items. Insured shipments go through special secure handling. Insurance coverage against loss, theft and damage is limited to the agreed insurance value.

Advice of Delivery is a good service to use when you need a receipt for your shipment. Items are only handed over against signature to the addressee or a person authorized by the addressee.´The sender receives a certificate of delivery to the addressee or the authorized person. In most countries the certificate is signed by both the recipient and the person handing over the item; in some countries it is only the latter.
Indications and Codes The item is provided with a Advice of Delivery address label with an individual tracking barcode.
Sending Can be mailed at a postal outlet, sorting office or terminal, never leave in a postbox.
Track & Trace Deliveries can be tracked using the tracking code attached to the item.

Restrictions as to Content The postal service can only assume responsibility for cash, securities or other valuables if they are sent as Insured Items. Prohibitions and restrictions specific to the destination country can be checked from the country information.
Destiantion Countries Domestic and certain international countries; please check Country Information. Some countries do not allow the sending of money and valuables by post.
Delivery Time Nordic countries 2-3 working days, rest of Europe 3-5 working days. Rest of the world 4-10 working days. The estimates do not include the time required for possible Customs clearance.
Insured Letters are transported internationally at the speed specified for Priority Letters.

Maximum Dimensions Maximum length + width + thickness = 900mm; maximum length 600mm. In tubular form: max. length + (diameter x 2) = 1,040mm; maximum length 900mm.
Minimum Dimensions 90 mm x 140 mm. For tubes, minimum length 100mm, minimum length + (diameter x 2) = 170mm. Indications and Codes An Insured barcode label is attached to the item.
Sending The item can be mailed at all postal outlets.
A sturdy envelope or plastic letter bag is recommended for insured items. The envelope must not have an address window.
Use a wooden, metal or plastic box for items that need more protection during transport. If a box is used, it should be wrapped in a strong paper for sealing or otherwise sealed using sealing tape. All seams of the item have to be sealed, using sealing tape or otherwise.
There is a special bar code label for international insured items.
Track and Trace International tracking works in Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Iceland, Ireland, Luxembourg, Portugal, Sweden and Switzerland.
