Cash, securities, precious metals, gemstones, and other valuables delivered by mail must always be sent as Insured Items. Insured shipments go through special secure handling. Insurance coverage against loss, theft and damage is limited to the agreed insurance value.

Delivery Time An Insured Letter can be picked up at the outlet primarily on the second weekday following its mailing and no later than the third weekday following mailing.

Maximum Dimensions Length + width + thickness 90 cm, maximum length 60 cm; for tubular items, max. length + (diameter x 2) = 104 cm, maximum length 90 cm.
Minimum Dimensions 90 mm x 140 mm.
Indications and Codes Insured Items are equipped with an Insured Item address label. Fragile items must have the "Fragile" label approved by Posti. The labels are available at Posti outlets.
Sending Insured Letters can be mailed at postal outlets, sorting offices or terminals.
Track & Trace Deliveries can be tracked using the tracking code attached to the item.
Receiving A notification of arrival of an Insured Item is delivered to the addressee. Items are only handed over at the delivery address against the signature of the addressee or a person authorized by the addressee. If the sender specifies that the item may only be delivered to the addressee, no one else is authorized to receive it.
Pursuant to the Postal Act, Posti has the right to enter on the delivery documents of the insured item the entire personal identity number of the person to whom the item is handed over and the document from which the identity has been verified. Posti does not disclose personal identity numbers to other parties.
Pricing The prices of Insured Letters are determined by the weight and additional services. In Finland items are processed using special secure handling. Attach "Fragile" labels to the parcel. The labels are available at Posti outlets. Please note that the content must be carefully packed and cushioned despite the use of the supplementary service. Markings on factory packages are not binding on Posti.

Compensation practices ◦The customer must produce some proof of the value of the content, such as a receipt, in order to report a damage. ◦Only direct material damage is compensated. ◦Value related to antiquities and collection, sentimental or corresponding special value is not compensated. Insurance offered by insurance companies should be inquired for such content.
Retaining Deliveries will be retained at the postal outlet for 14 days. The notice of arrival indicates the deadline for picking up the delivery from the outlet. A second notice of arrival will not be sent. Forwarding from outlet to outlet will not extend the combined retention period at different outlets.
- Handing over to The Receiver Personally
Indications and Codes Handing over to the receiver personal is selected by checking off the delivery condition in the shipment-specific address label attached to letters with advice of delivery and insured items.
The item is provided by the clerk with a Registered Letter address label with an individual tracking barcode.
Receiving With the additional service the handing over of an item can be restricted only to the natural person who has been indicated as the recipient. The handing over of an item addressed to a corporate or organizational recipient cannot be restricted with the additional service. The process of sending letters with address labels is being digitalized
