General information about Posti’s delivery services

  • Mail is delivered on working days (Mon-Fri) before 6 p.m.

  • Delivery times are affected by factors such as daily mail volumes and weather conditions as well as changes to delivery routes.

  • The items to be delivered are letters and publications whose maximum size is 25 x 40 x 3 cm and maximum weight 2 kg.

  • If the item is not suitable for delivery (e.g. due to not being the right size), we will send you a notice of arrival.

Problems in delivery?

If you receive mail addressed to your home’s previous resident or an unknown person, you can write “ei kuulu osoitteeseen” (“should not be delivered to this address”) on the item and drop it off in the nearest mailbox for forwarding.

You may receive mail addressed to your home’s previous resident because updated addresses are only sent to companies whose customer the person already is or who update their address register based on Posti’s register.

If the problem keeps occurring, you can send us feedback about the issue after you have identified yourself:

  1. Log in here.

  2. Select “Feedback on the Mail Forwarding and Nearby Mailbox services” as the topic and open the feedback form. Include the name and address written on the mail that is being mistakenly delivered to you in your message. Also state whose mail should be delivered to your address. We will take action based on the information you give us in your feedback.

Mail is currently being delivered by over 15 delivery companies. Mail items are delivered to the address written on them.
