The last day for sending Christmas parcels and cards is December 21

Next Wednesday, December 21, is the last day to send Christmas greetings.

Domestic parcels will reach their destination by Christmas if you send them by December 21. You can pay for a parcel online at, in the OmaPosti app or at a Posti service point. A prepaid parcel can be dropped off at any service point or parcel locker.

Christmas cards can be sent on Wednesday, December 21, if you attach a Plus Sticker next to the domestic no-value indicator stamp. If you are only using the domestic no-value indicator stamp, the last day to mail your cards is Sunday, December 18. Cards need to be dropped off according to the letter box emptying times.

Remember the correct address

When sending Christmas greetings, please make sure you have the correct address details on your cards and parcels. Each Christmas greeting should include the recipient’s first and last name, street address, building number, stairway and apartment number and the city or municipality. You can check the correct format of street names and postal codes at

When you send parcels, we recommend also including the recipient’s phone number, since they will then receive the notice of arrival more quickly. Parcels without a phone number need to be sent by Thursday, December 15, for the recipient to get their paper notice of arrival on time.

Thank you for picking up your parcel quickly

Parcel volumes are currently high. We recommend picking up parcels quickly once they arrive to make room for others.
