Changes in parcel and freight services for businesses

Changes have taken place in our business environment in 2022. High inflation and the rise in energy prices have had significant consequences for the transport sector and its expense structure.

We will continue to develop our services and improve the customer experience. Due to rising costs, we will have to adjust the prices and terms of our services from November 2022 and January 2023. You can find all Contract and Product Terms for Contract Customers on our website along with price lists. The most significant changes are listed below.

Price changes in Parcel Services from November 1, 2022

The contract prices of domestic parcel services and the Posti Parcel Baltic service will increase by EUR 0.18 per item.

The delivery zone fees of the Express parcel will increase for Zone 1: EUR 0.1/item and for Zone 2: EUR 0.2/item. See postal code delivery zones for Express parcels.

The prices of the supplementary services listed below will be updated as follows, future prices:

  • Cash on delivery (COD): €7.5

Freight zones and distances will be updated

We will be updating the distances and zones used for freight pricing.

  • The distances will be updated to match the locations of the existing terminals.

  • The pickup and delivery zones will also be adjusted. Zones will be tied to postal codes.

These changes may result in higher or lower freight prices. For most customers, they will have minor impacts only.

Changes in Parcel Services from January 1, 2023

We will be updating the Product Terms for Domestic Goods Transport Services and Supplementary Services. Along with the update, we're making the following changes:

  • In the future, the minimum charge of a parcel will be for 1 kilogram.

  • COD will no longer be available for the Express Parcel and Home Parcel options.

Changes in Freight Services from January 1, 2023

Changes to the product terms

There will be changes to the Product Terms of Freight Services and Additional Services. You can read more about the changes in the updated Product Terms of Freight Services and Product terms of Additional Services.

Paper waybills will be discontinued

We have been working on the digitalization of our transport chains for a long time. Our next step will be waving all paper waybills starting February 1, 2023.

In the future, all transport units must be equipped with a unique package ID and the same information must be indicated on the electronic order. From January 1, 2023, we will charge a service fee for attaching a missing package ID.

This change will help us to offer better service and improve item trackability. Shipment will be easier to process in a paper-free process that is also environmentally friendly. Read more about waybill-free services.
