The fuel surcharge for freight will also be introduced for Express Freight
Starting from October 1, 2020, the fuel surcharge for freight will also be introduced for Express Freight. Before this, the fuel surcharge for parcel services was used for Express Freight. Changing the fuel surcharge will not have an effect on the total prices paid by customers. Instead, the increase of the fuel surcharge will be compensated for by lowering the transport prices of Express Freight by the same amount.
Starting from September 1, 2020, the fuel surcharge for Express Freight is 7.21%.
Starting from September 1, 2020, the fuel surcharge for Posti Freight is 19.92%.
The amount of the fuel surcharge is reviewed monthly.
The fuel surcharge for parcel services will be updated
The fuel surcharge for parcel services will also be updated on October 1, 2020. The fuel consumer price monitoring process, which affects the calculation of the fuel surcharge, will become harmonized, more transparent and more up-to-date. The source of the information will change. In the future, the source will be the European Commission's Weekly Oil Bulletin. At the same time, the fuel surcharge for parcel services will be added to the prices of Posti's pickup and delivery services. The amount of the fuel surcharge will continue to be reviewed monthly.
