How does the Posti Parcel Point work?

Posti Parcel Points are an easy way of sending and receiving parcels. With a Parcel Point, you can send a parcel to another Parcel Point in Finland and Estonia or to any postal outlet in Finland.

In addition, you can select the most conveniently located Parcel Point for pickup when ordering a parcel from an online store. When the parcel is ready to be picked up, you will receive an SMS containing a key code. The code is entered in the Parcel Point, and the locker containing your parcel will open.

Can I send a parcel to a postal outlet using a Parcel Point?

Yes, you can! With the Parcel Point, you can send a parcel either to another Parcel Point or to a postal outlet to be picked up by the recipient.

Why is the mobile phone number of the recipient required when sending a parcel using a Parcel Point?

When the parcel is ready to be picked up by the recipient, an SMS notice of arrival will be delivered. If the parcel is in a Parcel Point, the SMS will contain the locker code. If the parcel is at a postal outlet, the recipient will receive an SMS with the item ID, which enables them to pick up the parcel.

How much does it cost to send a parcel using a Parcel Point?

What is the delivery time of a parcel sent from a Parcel Point?

A parcel sent from a Parcel Point by 4 p.m. is ready to be picked up by the recipient within 1–3 business days. Check our delivery time inquiry here.

I accidentally entered a wrong telephone number in the parcel’s information, how can I fix it?

Contact our customer support. As the sender, you can change the telephone number in the parcel’s information if necessary.

Can I return a parcel using a Parcel Point?

It is very easy to return parcels purchased from an online store with the Parcel Point. The Parcel Point menu has a specific function for returning parcels, and the Parcel Point will request you to enter the locker code that was sent to your phone. The locker opens when you enter the code. If you no longer have the code, please contact our customer support.

Can I also send letters using a Parcel Point?

The Parcel Point is intended for sending parcels, so it is not possible to send letters with it.

What if the parcel I intend to send does not fit in the locker and I have already paid for it?

Contact our customer support. The sizes of the lockers can also be found here. The Parcel Point displays the inner measurements of the locker.

What if a parcel sent to a Parcel Point does not fit in the locker?

Normally, this situation should not occur. If, however, a parcel sent to a Parcel Point is too large, the item is delivered to the postal outlet nearest to the Parcel Point. If the parcel has been forwarded through the Posti parcel routing system, and it is too large for the Parcel Point, the parcel is delivered to a postal outlet in accordance with the original address.

How do I pay for my parcel at a Parcel Point?

The payment is carried out with a debit or credit card with a chip. The payment terminal is below the touch screen.

Is it possible to use Fragile Items or COD when sending from Parcel Point?

Fragile Items and COD services are not available for cash customers.
