Post Museum, Helsinki

Since 1995, Finland Post's Post Museum has been located in the Helsinki Main Post Office Building built in 1938 and situated in the City Centre. On this location, the museum has become one of the most popular museums in Finland.
In addition to the exhibition rooms the museum contains the Stamp Shop, the Museum Library, a conference room and the Bar and Café.
The Post Museum has been developing with determination an idea of a Net museum that is independent of time and place. On the pages of the Net Museum at www.posti.fi/postimuseo for instance many special exhibitions continue their life span even after the physical exhibition has been taken down. Collections and increasing of their openness to the public are among the museum's challenges in the coming years. |
