Active steps to decrease carbon footprint
We believe that, despite an increase in electronic deliveries, paper communications will play an important part far into the future. Mail delivery emissions are created through sorting, transportation and delivery. We will work actively in order to have as small a carbon footprint as possible through mail and packages delivered by Posti:
- We will actively cut down the carbon dioxide emissions from delivery. The most important steps are to improve energy efficiency and increase the use of renewable, low-emission energy.
- The remaining emissions will be compensated by taking part in climate projects that replace the use of fossil fuels and produce renewable energy through wind or biogas. This guarantees that a corresponding emission amount is reduced somewhere else.
