Redelivery

Items will be redelivered to the addressee’s new address in Finland, free of charge, if the addressee has submitted a valid change of address notice. If no change of address notice exists / it is no longer valid, or the item has an incorrect/incomplete address, or the recipient refuses to accept the item, it will be returned to the sender as a Post Office Return 16 service item. The original sender must then pay the delivery fee for the returned item as well as any possible additional service fees.

If the addressee requests redelivery, the item will be delivered to the addressee’s nearest postal outlet as a Postal Parcel, and the recipient will pay all delivery fees. Redelivery upon the addressee’s request is possible only once for each item.

If an item cannot be redelivered to the recipient or returned to sender, it will be taken to the Finnish Communications Regulatory Authority for processing.

Modifications to Information on an Item or Invoice already sent

At sender's request

- Altering the addressee's name / address
- Altering the COD amount
- Altering the account number (for domestic service only)
- Requesting the item's withdrawal
- Altering a term of delivery (cancelling / adding delivery to addressee in person)
- Shortening the retention period of letter mail by one calendar week
- For doorstep delivery of an item originally to be collected at postal outlet (for domestic service only)
- For enabling the recipient to check item contents prior to handing over from postal outlet (domestic parcel service only)
-Prolonged storage time for parcels up to 14 calendar days (for domestic parcel service only)
- Modification of customer data invoice

  • EUR 14.05 /modification

For domestic requests for alterations, the customer will be notified of whether the service has been successfully executed

Charges for Other Tasks

- Unnecessary or late (over 3 months from sending) investigation

- Failed pick-up or delivery attempt  made on the basis of order

Presentation to Customs

The following is charged for shipments subject to customs clearance arriving from a destination outside the EU
internal market area.

Consumers

  • Customs clearance EUR 22.60 (incl. forwarding fee EUR 17.60 and financing fee EUR 5.00) (Incl. VAT)
  • Clearance of duty and tax exempt items EUR 17.60 (Incl. VAT)

Companies

  • Forwarding fee EUR 35.00 (Excl. VAT EUR 28.46), including 2 HS tariff numbers
  • The charge for each additional HS tariff number is EUR 3.60 (Excl. VAT EUR 2.93)
  • Communication charge EUR 11.00 (Excl. VAT 8,94)
  • Financing fee 2 % of official charges (Duties and VAT), minimum EUR 5.00

The following is charged for the customs clearance of a shipment subject to export customs clearance.

  • Forwarding fee EUR 35.00 (Excl. VAT EUR 28.46), including 2 HS tariff numbers
  • The charge for each additional HS tariff number is EUR 3.60 (Excl. VAT EUR 2.93)

Nearby Mailbox service

Nearby Mailbox service (delivery against payment) is Post’s facility service in basic delivery for addressees. The service provides deliveries to mailboxes or other places designated by the customer and not on the normal delivery routes.

Detached houses and individual contract customers  within housing corporations

  • For a stand-alone mailbox on the mail delivery route, the basic charge is EUR 116.00 /12 months

If the delivery of mail diverts from the standard mail delivery route, the service's price will be determined by the distance from this route on a case-by-case basis.

Housing corporation apartments

The service's price charged to housing corporations with mail slots or special apartment-specific mailboxes will be determined by the number of such slots/boxes.

Contract-based delivery always covers all households receiving mail within the housing corporation.

Product terms for Nearby Mailbox service

Delivery to Temporary Address

This service refers to the delivery of mail to the customer's temporary address

  • To a mailbox located within the group of mailboxes of permanent residents, free of charge
  • A separate mailbox located along the delivery route
    - Basic charge EUR 19.50 /2 months
    - Additional months EUR 12.90 /month

If the delivery of mail diverts from the standard mail delivery route, the service's price will be determined separately by the distance from this route on a case-by-case basis.
