Change-of-Address and Redirection Services for Households
Change-of-address services are address-specific, and each service is subject to a special order. A service fee is charged for each service order.
Change-of-address
Based on the change-of-address, Posti will redirect letter deliveries and postal parcels of up to 10 kg each (general service package) to the new address, unless the sender has prohibited mail redirection. Change of address is free of charge.
The customer will receive a confirmation for the change of address. The confirmation includes an offer for paid redirection for 12 months.

*) Itella will only deliver letter deliveries and postal parcels of up to 10 kg each free of charge to the new permanent address submitted by the mail recipient using a change of address notification. Newspapers/magazines and bulk letters are redirected to your new address in Finland only if you purchase a paid mail redirection service.

The customer will receive an invoice for the service for the fixed-term redirection and interruption of delivery, sent to the customer in connection with the confirmation of order.
A week refers in temporary change of address and delivery interruption services to seven calendar days. When calculating the duration of a service, the days the service takes effect and expires are included.
Redirection abroad
Only ordinary domestic 1st and 2nd Class letters and ordinary and registered international letter items and, on certain grounds, insured items and publications, too will be redirected abroad.
Other items (domestic publica-tions, Bulk Letters, Maxi Letters and valuable items) will be returned to sender or processed as undeliverable.
