Guided tours and workshops
The Post Museum provides groups with a number of opportunities to deepen their knowledge of the postal history in Finland. Various workshops and guided tours offer both information and pleasure.
Individual guided tours and workshops are not designed for a specific age group or school level. For each implementation, we aim to take the group members' age and their level of knowledge and capabilities into consideration in the best possible way. If necessary, a guided tour or workshop can be tailored to meet the group's requirements. Together we can also create a completely new package to conform to the group's preferences or meet the objectives your group has set for its visit.
Only two people are required to form a group, for which we are pleased to provide guided tours and workshops. We also manage traditional guided tours and presentations for larger groups. When it comes to workshops, the maximum size of the group is stated for each presentation.
Group services in English
Welcome to the Post Museum
A brief welcome to, and introduction of, the Museum premises, as well as an overview of the exhibition. The brief introduction will also provide you with "tools" to make the most of the several functional sections at the exhibition. No actual tour at the exhibition.
Duration: approximately 15 minutes.
Large groups will be divided, if necessary.

Price: free of charge.
"A postmistress tells you a story" – guided tour
"A traditional" guided tour at the "Stories" exhibition, lead by a postmistress. A more elaborate and deep-going chronology of postal services in Finland.
Duration around 60 minutes.
Languages: Finnish, Swedish, English.
Price: 35€/group.
"Remember Your Family With a Card" workshop
Creating your own postcard and sending it. The process of making a card may vary. You will learn about the secrets of an address and the conveyance of a letter. The workshop provides materials for one card, one (1) 1st Class stamp/participant, and guidance.
Don't forget the address of the person to whom you will send a card!
Duration approximately 60 minutes.
Maximum 24 persons.
