Compensation
The amount of compensation is determined by the actual, proven damages incurred. In the case of loss of the item, these are equivalent to the value of the item at the time of loss. In the case of damage, they are equivalent to the decrease in value or the cost of repair, not exceeding the insured value. Value calculations are based on receipts presented by the customer or on other reliable indications of the purchase value of the goods or of the value of used goods at the time of damage.

Compensation for actual proven damages caused by the loss, damage or theft of international parcels that have not been insured under Transport Insurance is limited to the maximum compensation defined by the Universal Postal Union, based on the weight of the item (SDR 40 per item and SDR 4.50 per kg). For EMS deliveries the maximum compensation for damage or theft is EUR 1,680.
