Transport Insurance
Transport Insurance can be taken out as additional security against damage or loss of international deliveries. Valuables are excluded from this service.

| Indications and Codes | The insured value, up to a maximum of EUR 15,000 per shipment, is written on the address label in the designated area. Contents must always be itemised on the address label when taking out Transport Insurance. |
| Pricing | The insurance fee is 0.25% of the insured value, or a minimum of EUR 1.85. |

| Restrictions as to Content | Goods-only are insured under Transport Insurance. Deliveries with Transport Insurance may not contain money, securities or other valuables as defined in Chapter 4 of Finland Post’s General Delivery Terms. Such items must be sent as Insured Items. |
| Other Specifications | Compensation Compensation for actual proven damages caused by the loss, damage or theft of international parcels that have not been insured under Transport Insurance is limited to the maximum compensation defined by the Universal Postal Union, based on the weight of the item (SDR 40 per item and SDR 4.50 per kg). For EMS deliveries the maximum compensation for damage or theft is EUR 1,680. |
