Maxi Letter
The Maxi Letter is a simple and easy way of sending small, light-weight items. It is also a good way of sending large letters. The price includes delivery to the addressee.
You may send mailing tubes, cases, boxes and bags weighing a maximum of 2kg, choosing a desired speed of service either via First or Second Class post.
Finland is the first country in the world to receive all mail through carbon neutral delivery.
All letters, papers, packages and direct advertisements delivered by Posti are carbon neutral. All products are automatically carbon neutral without any extra charges for customers.

| Delivery Time | First Class letters are usually delivered on the next working day following posting. Second Class letters are usually delivered on the second working day following posting. |

| Maximum Dimensions | Maximum length + width + thickness = 900mm; maximum length 600mm. For tubular items, maximum length + (diameter x 2) = 1,040mm; maximum length 900mm. |
| Minimum Dimensions | 400mm x 250mm x 30mm. For tubular items, minimum length + (diameter x 2) = 170mm; minimum length 100mm. |
| Indications and Codes | The top of the address side of all First Class letters must display the number "1", write "Priority" or apply a blue Priority-sticker on them. You need not make any separate markings on Second Class letters. When sending a letter containing goods to the Åland Islands, attach a green CN 22 label (or a CN 23 declaration) to the letter providing information on the contents of the item and the value of the goods and, for commercial items, documents required by Customs. Address and other labels are available at postal outlets. |

| Receiving | Maxi Letters are delivered to the addressee if they can be posted through a mail slot or mailbox. If this is not possible, the postman will leave a notification of arrival and the item may then be collected from a local postal outlet. |

| Retaining | Maxi Letters that cannot be delivered to the addressee will be kept at the postal outlet for two full calendar weeks in addition to the week of arrival, after which the item will be returned to the sender free of charge. |
| Restrictions as to Content | Not suitable for sending cash and/or other valuables; these should be sent as Insured Items Not suitable for sending fragile items; for those please use a Fragile Parcel. |
| Other Specifications | You may send items as Maxi Letters without despatch documents, with the exception of COD items. Items weighing up to 500g can be sent using COD. |
