Changes to marketing services

On this page you can find information about the changes to marketing services that will take effect in 2017. There will be changes in areas such as the delivery speeds of services. This page will be updated as we progress with the changes.

Customer Direct advance order discount as of January 2, 2017

Fill in the item's order information in the Electronic mailing list 7 weeks before the posting day and you will receive an advance order discount for batches of over 20,000 pcs. The advance order discount is 2% of the total order sum and is automatically available when the conditions are met.

How can I get a discount?

Indicate the posting day and place, number and item weight in the order information. If you change the information less than seven weeks from the posting day, note that you can:

  • Change the quantity by no more than 10% 
  • Change the item weight by no more than 30%
  • You cannot change posting time and place

Customer Direct batch size threshold changes as of January 2, 2017

The two lowest batch size thresholds will be combined to a new threshold of 1-4,999 and a new threshold, more than 300,000 items, will be introduced No changes will be made to weight classes.

Supplementary services for Customer Direct as of January 2, 2017

The Teaser supplementary service will be discontinued. In future, you can use Customer Direct in the same way as Teaser. Additional Handling and Information Service will continue as Customer Direct's supplementary services.

Changes to the delivery speed of Customer Direct

The delivery speed of the Customer Direct service will change in early 2017. Following the change, items will usually be delivered on the third day from the posting day. You can expedite the delivery speed by using the Sorting Service if the batch size or partial batch size is at least 25,000 items. The mailer company must sign an agreement with Posti regarding the use of the Sorting Service. When your mailer company uses the service, your item will usually be delivered on the second weekday following the posting day. For example, if you require delivery on Monday, you need to mail the item on Thursday. If you require delivery on Wednesday, you need to mail the item on Monday. Read more about the Sorting Service.

As a result of the reforms to delivery days, Customer Direct items will not be delivered on Tuesdays starting from March 6, 2017.

Delivery days for Home Direct and Home Direct Premium items

In 2017, Home Direct Premium items will be delivered on Thursdays and Fridays, and order volumes will not be restricted on those two days.

There will be no changes to the delivery of Home Direct (bundled delivery) and Postinen, which will continue to take place on Mondays and Wednesdays.
