How to tell about Posti’s delivery types
We have written pre-prepared texts for you for introducing different delivery types. The text in italics is instructions for you – do not copy it to your online store.
Pick-up from a Posti parcel point
Pick-up from a Posti Parcel Point of your choice. Posti's dense network and the long opening hours of shops and shopping centers in the evenings and at weekends ensure that you can pick-up the parcel close to you at a time that suits you best. When the parcel arrives, you will receive pick-up instructions by text message.

Pick-up from a postal outlet
Pick-up from a Posti outlet of your choice. Posti's dense network and the long opening hours of shops and shopping centers in the evenings and at weekends ensure that you can pick-up the parcel close to you at a time that suits you best. Adittional services for freight services are Installation, Transport to recycling and Transport Package Removal.
Installation for domestic appliances and electronics:
The device is delivered to your home, brought in and installed ready for use. We take the packaging materials to appropriate recycling. The installation does not cover fixture modifications or structural reinforcements or changes in the antenna or electric network, pipelines or sewers.
Instalation for furniture:
The product is installed ready for use, e.g. assembling a sofa or attaching legs to a bed. Light installation takes max. 15 min.
Remember: The installation service is tax-deductible for domestic costs.
Transport to recycling
When a new device is brought in, the old corresponding one is taken to appropriate recycling.
Transport Package Removal
The item is unloaded from the transport platform. The packaging materials are removed and disposed of as appropriate. You avoid having to deal with large packaging waste.
Posti delivery to the recipient's yard
Posti will deliver your shipment to the desired address during the same business day. Dispatch as a climate-friendly Posti Green item. The recipient is called for agreeing the delivery time.
Delivery to a workplace
Place your order by xxx. Posti delivers your order to the desired address as a clim ate-friendly Posti Green item by 2 p.m. on the following business day / already on the order day by 16 noon / on the following morning by 9 a.m. No advance notification. If you are not present at the time of delivery, your order will be ready for pick-up at the location indicated on the notice of arrival. A personal ID is required.

Showing delivery method options in the online shop user interface
The delivery method options may be presented in the user interface of the online shop in a pull-down menu or as radio buttons. The delivery method is usually selected in the shopping cart.
The Customer Return service is used in e-commerce for returning products at the retailer's expense. The consumer may return the products packed by him/her to the address indicated by the online store either through a postal outlet or a parcel point. We recommend that you print a pre-prepared Customer Return address label to be included with the item. Posti charges you for the transport of the returned item. With the introduction of the new law, you may charge return costs from the customer.

You can return the ordered items free of charge through Posti. Pack the items carefully.
Return through a Posti parcel point
If the products you ordered were delivered to a Posti parcel point, you can return them through any parcel point with the same locker code as when picking them up. Write your contact details (name and telephone number) on the parcel. You do not need to write the return address. Take the item to a parcel point and follow the instructions provided by the point.
If you no longer have the locker code, return the item through a postal outlet.
Return through a postal outlet
You can return an item through Posti's service point regardless of its reception mode. Attach the Customer Return address label provided by us on the item or write our return ID xxxxxx (=the logistics contract number of your online store) on the item.
Take the item to a postal outlet and tell them that this is a customer return to Company Ltd.

If the delivery type selected by the consumer is not suitable for sending the product, we recommend that the following, for instance, be added to the online store’s general terms of delivery:
We reserve the right to send small items as letters to your home address.
We reserve the right to send items exceeding the parcel point maximum dimensions to a postal outlet.
If your online store does not feature the possibility to select a pickup point, inform your customers of the parcel routing service. With this service, the customers can choose from which postal outlet or parcel point they wish to pick up their parcels.

Posti’s mobile application
With Posti’s mobile application, your customer has access to the automatic Item Tracking. By activating his/her own mobile phone number in the application, the customer is automatically informed of items without having to enter an item ID. The application also provides information about the size, schedule and location of the incoming item and directs the user to the correct pickup location with the aid of a map.
